By Henry Greenly, AI.Loco.E LAST FEW COPIES...WHEN THEY'RE GONE, THEY'RE GONE! A beautiful reprint of the authentic 1923 Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway Handbook. Marvel at the original advertisments for products and services (a Penberthy Patent Automatic Restarting, also Auto-positive Injector anyone???). The handbook details the situation on the railway in 1923, with many black and white photographs of the stock, locomotives and plant at work on the line at that time. Sadly we can't maintain the 1923 cover price of 6d (2.5 pence) but it is still excellent value at todays reprint price, and certainly a whole lot cheaper than some of the ridiculous prices appearing on other bookseller sites (up to £120 seen in some cases!) Softback A5 format, 32 pages, over 40 black and white illustrations
